October 20, 2022, SoMich Grad helped to kick off Halloween Weekend in Avalon Village, a once completely blighted four-block area of Highland Park being reinvigorated into a sustainable and beautiful eco- village that will be a safe place for children to play and study.

Part of the mission of the Fellowmen of the Southern Michigan Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Incorporated, is to support Black Owned Businesses in the city of Detroit. Many of these are long standing businesses that have weathered the storm during the economic downtime, when there was little investment in the city.

The Fellowmen of SoMich Grad with Destined for Greatness on the city’s east side, helping out those in need with necessities that they will need during the fall and winter month.
