Serving Those In Need
Fellowmen Diamond Greer and Adam Jones head to the center in preparation of SoMich Grad’s community service for Groove Phi Groove’s Founders Day event.
Our organization has always been about service to the community. Our Founders felt so much about community service that they made it the cornerstone of what Groove Phi Groove was about. So on this day, our 59th anniversary, the Fellowmen of SoMich Grad spent time at St. John’s Community Center on Detroit’s lower east side helping men in need.
This area near the border of Grosse Pointe, has a high percentage of its citizens in need, so it was here where for Founder’s Day 2021 we provided meals for thirty men in keeping with the tradition of Groove’s efforts of helping out our communities.
